i went to my first concert in paris last weekend upon my friend Kristen’s suggestion- final fantasy at la maroquinerie. immediately, i adored the venue. it was one of those little, dark, underground spaces where everybody is just a little bit too close. completely sexy. i had only heard a couple of songs by final fantasy, aka owen pallett, aka the violinist from arcade fire. pallett easily won me over with his blend of bright, full violin chords with self-described “loopy electronic effects” and his clean, fluid voice. check out one of my favorite songs, below:
