have a happy weekend! KC&CO, Bessie rebecca ward’s installation in kate spade’s tokyo store is fun, fresh, and all sorts of other lovely adjectives that also happen to describe the brand itself . . . the soho location threw a soiree in honor of ward’s work, complete with a “tape bar” where guests could get craft-ay with notebooks and technicolor electric tape . . . cuties! photos via what i wore, refinery29, and rebecca ward KC&CO, Bessie i have yet to encounter a version of passion pit’s “sleepyhead” that i don’t like. exhibit a: starsmith remix ft. ellie goulding
exhibit b: neo-tokyo remix
last exhibit: acoustic version on a related note, holdmycoat tweeted this a few weeks ago: Hollister sells Passion Pit CD’s, hipsters everywhere cry today. . . . lolz. also, follow me on twitter if you aren’t already! KC&CO, Bessie garance doré ’s dreamy interpretation of front row at marc jacobs . . . . . . and the best of marc’s back-to-basics aesthetic for fall 2010: photos via KC&CO, Bessie hello my dears, hope you all had a happy weekend. i just found out that i’m hitting stockholm in a few weeks! here’s what my swed-est dreams are made of: {hotel j on the scandinavian sea, where nantucket meets nordic cool} {moderna museet, the museum of modern art} {that elusive stockholm style} cropped yyigal jacket, alexander wang pants and givenchy booties that were even more beautiful in person when i spotted them at shine KC&CO, Bessie ps. in my excitement, i started researching the city and stumbled upon a “list of useful swedish phrases.” among them: “Min svävare är full med ålar,” which roughly translates into, “My hovercraft is full of eels.” i’m quite unsure of what this is supposed to express (bliss? boredom? imminent danger?) but i plan on inserting it randomly into conversations until i find out. more updates to come. in honor of tim burton’s much-anticipated interpretation of alice in wonderland, french department store printemps invited a few creative geniuses of a different sort (namely, designers) to create alice-inspired window displays. i all but ran to see the final products on a recent saturday afternoon and, unsurprisingly, i was joined by approximately one billion tourists. after narrowly escaping death-by-trampling, i managed to snap a few photos of my favorite displays: {the late alexander mcqueen}
{manish arora}
{chloé}
{nicholas kirkwood}
on a related note, enjoy this wonderful (har, har) little video by pogo: KC&CO, Bessie check out the clean lines and staggering views at the mandarin oriental hotel in barcelona . . . see more photos here KC&CO, Bessie |
