susie theodorou’s food styling is absolutely mouth-watering . . . . . . the rich colors and sunny lighting make a perfect pair. have a happy weekend! KC&CO, Bessie remember when i used to post about food all the time? it was a way for me to satiate my inner fat kid, which isn’t much of a problem anymore- i’m writing from a city where bread, cheese, and wine are the three main food groups. however, i had to share this oh-so-french arrangement by sunday suppers, one of my favorite food styling and photography blogs . . . fruit, sharp cheeses, crusty baguettes and. . . honeycomb? somewhat unexpected, but it sounds like a parfait combination to me. KC&CO, Bessie photos via loving how sunday suppers pairs photos of fresh and seasonal dishes with lovely flowers and place settings. . . . . . like this berry consomme with lemon champagne sorbet . . . . . . . tagliatelle with young garlic, asparagus, and mushrooms. . . . . . roast chicken sandwich on a baguette with truffle fries . . . . . . buttermilk biscuits with jam butters + a honeyed fig and lavender crostata . . .

I just learned that yesterday was National Sandwich Day. It’s only right to celebrate…
tarragon shallot egg salad. tender pea shoots. seedless rye bread.
pulled pork. a tangy, peppery barbeque sauce. sweet onions. broccoli slaw.
scrambled egg. bacon. arugula. buttery toast.
hazelnut and chocolate spread. praline crunch. brioche, toasted on a griddle.

KC&CO, Bessie As the temperatures continue to drop, I’ve found myself craving the flavors that I associate with fall. Here are a few sweet autumnal treats that I’d love to indulge in (click images for original sources and copyright information):
spiced bread flavored with mild honey, molasses, walnuts, and fine candied fruit
spiced chai cupcakes with a honey-cinnamon buttercream frosting
