yes, it’s the middle of november, but the debut of starbucks’ red holiday cups mean that the holidays are coming! for me, this means snuggling forever under cozy blankets, thick-gloved fingers on ski lifts, sparkling lights, and, of course, candy canes . . .
. . . like peppermint bark sprinkled on vanilla buttercream-frosted dark chocolate cupcakes . . .
. . . light-as-air pâte à choux pastries with peppermint whipped cream and a peppermint fudge sauce . . .
. . . peppermint marshmallows for plopping into giant mugs of hot cocoa . . .
. . . refreshing mint ganache sandwiched in silky, rich fudge . . .
