Hello, my dears, hope you all had a beautiful weekend! My apologies for the abbreviated posts this week- things will be back to normal by Friday. Anyways, I just stumbled across this Alice in Wonderland-themed photo spread. Check out my favorite shots below:

I’m loving these images from Copenhagen-based YDE’s Autumn/Winter 2009 lookbook. It’s staged as a movie and follows two star-crossed lovers as they veer towards a tragic end. Between her airy bouffant, flawless complexion, and lush lashes, the heroine is almost painfully glamorous. Still, you can’t help but sympathize with her in the shot where her hair is a flat, tousled mess and a mixture of mascara and tears runs down her face. Check out a few of my favorite photos below:

Doesn’t Emma Watson look stunning in this photospread for Vogue Russia? I’m drawn to everything from her classic beauty, to the way her petite frame delicately carries the voluminous gowns, to the quiet confidence that she exudes. Check out the rest of the photos, below:

Hope everyone is having a lovely middle-of-the-week!

The following photos from The Lake and Stars’ Spring 2010 Lookbook are a bit absurd. Hey, it’s super-lingerie! If you wear it, not only can you get laid, but you can also go fishing, frolick through the woods, or creep on woodland creatures via binoculars. The whole thing reminds me of the commercials for herpes medication that show couples riding bikes, canoeing, prancing around in fields, and so on. Regardless, I like the photos, and the quotes that accompany them. Check them out below, but try to resist the urge to a butterfly-catching net to go with your new chemise:

Maybe you don’t even know how you got here, but here you are.

Meanwhile, the Universe has another, more challenging destiny for you.

We’re curious people by nature, but sometimes you go for a closer look and what we see seems impossibly difficult to overcome. Stop, relax, and think about it. There’s always an angle to play.
Don’t be afraid to turn your life upside down, or, at least, yourself upside down on your couch.

Side note: The Lake and Stars is named after “a Victorian euphemism for a woman’s skill in the bedroom.” Frisky.

Bessie
